Bernice F. Palmiere

Bernice "Bema" Palmiere Age 93, of Bloomfield, passed away peacefully on September 7, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She has gone home to be with our Lord and Savior. Bea was the beloved wife of the late Joseph Palmiere Jr.; devoted mother of the late Joseph Palmiere III (the late Ellen), Mark Palmiere (the late Rosemarie), Bernadette Casciato, and Michael Palmiere. She was a proud and caring grandmother, lovingly known as "Bema", to Michael Palmiere Jr, Gerilen Trimbur (Matthew), Bianca Sasin (Joseph), Anthony Casciato, Brittany Pool, Gianna Voit (Jason), Justin Palmiere (Laura), Joseph Palmiere IV, Mark Palmiere II (Erica), Ali Palmiere, and Courtney Palmiere. Her legacy continues through her cherished great-grandchildren: Madison Trimbur (Austin), Morgan Trimbur, Francesca Sasin, Grace Trimbur, Elaina Sasin, Marie Waters, Liliana Voit, Julia Waters, Mark Palmiere III, Lena Voit, Everly Palmiere, Jordyn Palmiere, and Ian Pool. Bea is also lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews, including Deborah Gyke (the late Steve) and Francine Liscotti (Tony), along with a wide circle of lifelong friends who brought joy and companionship throughout her years. Her warmth, wisdom, and unwavering kindness touched the lives of all who knew her. Bea's passion for education and faith defined much of her life. She earned her bachelor's degree from Carlow University in 1985 and later completed her Master's degrees in Theology and English at Duquesne University in 2003. She dedicated 36 years to teaching at St. Joseph School in Bloomfield and later served as principal at St. John Neumann School in Lawrenceville. Even in retirement, Bea remained committed to her faith community, serving as Catechetical Leader at Immaculate Conception/St. Joseph Parish. Above all, Bea was devoted to her family. She found joy in gathering her loved ones around the table, and her baking became a treasured tradition passed down through generations. A lifelong reader, Bea also had a deep love for books, often losing herself in stories and sharing that passion with her grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m., at D'ALESSANDRO FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY LTD., Butler at 46th Sts., Lawrenceville.
