Freda Judith Reihl

Freda Judith (Judy) Reihl, 75, passed away at home on April 2, 2024, after a long and incredibly courageous battle with cancer. Judy was born September 2, 1948, in Confluence, PA. Judy loved being in the country with her large family, cracking jokes, and playing pranks on each other. She held various job roles over the years, but her biggest one was being a mother. She always went out of her way to ensure that holidays were special and that birthdays were celebrated even when there wasn't much to go around. She instilled in her children that class has nothing to do with finances and everything to do with how you treat others, how you carry yourself, and choosing to do the right thing even when it is hard. She was an avid cook; it was impossible to walk into her home without the smell of something cooking or baking. Judy is survived by her husband of 52 years, Bill Reihl; children Lisa Reihl, Michael Reihl, and Nicole Reihl; grandchildren Jordan Reihl, Dion Wallace, Christina Wallace, and Mikhal Wallace; great-grandson Roman Wallace; siblings Mary (Henry) Oester of Accident, Maryland, Michael (Renee) Livengood of Rockwood, Pennsylvania; sister-in-law Maria Reihl of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; as well as many nieces and nephews. Judy was predeceased by her parents, Robert and Ruby Livengood, daughter Christina Ann Reihl, and siblings Janet Lee, Ray Livengood, Jean Dowling, Bobby Livengood, Ronnie Livengood, Larry Livengood, JoAnn Reilly, and Jerry Livengood. Judy always said "Home is where Mom is"- the fabric of her soul is interwoven into her family, and we will carry those pieces of her forever. We already miss you so much, Mom, but we know you are reunited with the family you loved and missed so dearly, and we can find comfort in that. Our family would like to thank the kind and compassionate staff at Sivitz Hospice and Palliative Care and Carla's Caring Heart. You provided our mother with dignity, gentleness, and peace during her final days and extended that to our family. We will be forever grateful for you all.
