Mary Elizabeth Mobley

Mary Elizabeth Mobley 81, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on January 3, 2024 at her residence in Pittsburgh, Pa. She was born on July 18, 1942 to Elinor McClary and Curtis Nord in Pittsburgh, Pa. She grew up on the northside and the hill district with a host of aunts and uncles who adored her. Mary attended the Pittsburgh Public school system (Fifth Avenue and Perry Traditional Academy) after graduating high school. She attended Connelly trade School, then went on to work various clerical positions. Her most notable job was working at Mellon Bank as an advisor and bank teller. In her spare time she modeled at Barbezon Modeling Agency. Mary was also a full time mother and grandmother, Mary was the matriarch .She was very active and present with her family throughout her life. She would always have a helping hand when it came to others. She loved traveling, shopping, and going out on the town. And a great pair of high heels. Mary was a mother of 4 children John Harris (who proceeded her in death) Ursula Harris- Brown, Tyrone Mobley, George Mobley, Gregory Brown and Clinique Brown -Diggs (Alfred Diggs III). Mary also had 10 grandkids, 23 great grandkids and 9 great-great grandkids. Later in life she met Willie (Earl) Green who adored her and was always by her side to the very 37 years. You would never see one without the other. True definition of love for better or worse. Mary loved all children and grand-children and Willie (Earl) unconditionally. She will be mourned and greatly missed by her family and friends. Also we would like to thank Monarch Hospice for everything they did for Mary. Everyone who met her said she was a firecracker. They we're so caring and compassionate to her. A Legacy of Love A wife, A mother, A grandmother too, This is the legacy we have from you. You taught us love and how to fight, You gave us strength, you gave us might. A stronger person would be hard to find, And in your heart, you were always kind. You fought for us all in one way or another, Not just as a wife not just as a mother. For all of us you gave your best, Now the time has come for you to rest. So go in peace, you've earned your sleep, Your love in our hearts, we'll eternally keep. Rest in Peace.
