Michael Barone

With deep sorrow and heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Michael "Marc" Barone of Mt. Washington on July 26, 2025. Owner of BarCo Construction, Michael was a self-taught craftsman, and a man who could build or fix just about anything. From a young age he showed a natural curiosity for how things worked. He never waited for instructions; he figured things out on his own from building cars to houses. Michael was a striking presence - handsome, charismatic, and unforgettable, with a radiant smile. He was always meticulously put together and commanded every room he entered. Michael was loyal, protective, and always showed up when his loved ones needed help. His laughter wasn't just a sound; it reflected his joy and will be missed evermore. Michael was a fun-loving thrill-seeking force of nature - bold, fearless and full of life. He lived with the throttle wide open, chasing adrenaline down Pittsburgh's winding hills and across bridges on his GXS-R 1000. He had a thirst for speed, and adventure. Beyond the thrill of the adrenaline rush, Michael had a deep abiding love for his rottweilers, Outlaw, Star & Zeus, and his cat Mable. Michael also enjoyed traveling to sunny islands and spending time on a warm beach with those who mattered to him. He enjoyed holiday meals prepared by his family, cookouts, outings, and annual trips to amusement parks where he'd conquer every game he played. Beloved son of Paulynne and the late Michael Barone; Grandson of the late Irene & Burl Cowan, and Michael & Dorothy Barone; Younger brother to the late Anthony and Paul Barone. He is survived and missed by sisters Lana Barone, and Dorothea (George) Zarglis; Very special uncle to Lauryn Barone, Danielle (Jason) Michael, Leonidas & Selene Zarglis, Paul Barone, and Zachary Bartoletta; Great uncle to Ariel & Coleton Michael, and Zakyra Barone; special cousin of Terry, Justin, and Danny; and nephew of Nancy Jones & Linda Walsack. There are moments in life that divide time, before and after the day Michael went home to our Lord. Since he has gone there is a quiet that doesn't feel peaceful. It's the silence where his voice used to be. The absence is loud, and our lives are forever changed, shaped by the love he gave us and the pain of losing him too soon. Family and close friends will be received from 2pm until the time of a service at 5:30pm at D'Alessandro Funeral Home & Crematory Ltd., 4522 Butler St., Lawrenceville.
