Richard W. D'Alessandro Age 78, of Oxnard, CA, formerly of Brookline, on Tuesday, September 8, 2026. Loving husband of Julie; "favorite" brother of Daniel T. (Jean M.); beloved uncle of Daniel J. "DJ" (Heather); Sean D., Dustin A. (Nicki) D'Alessandro, and Jennifer Todd; proud great uncle of Domenic, Sean Jr., Gianni, and Luca; special cousin of Joseph Garbo; stepchildren Timothy, Jessica, and Daniel; step grandchildren Abigail, Drew, Jacqueline, Jane, Luke, and William. Also survived by many other loving cousins and friends. Burial in Camarillo, CA. Family and friends invited to attend Rich's Memorial Mass at St. Pio Parish, St. Augustine Church, 225 37th St., Pittsburgh, PA 15201 (Lawrenceville), on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at 12:30pm. Richard was born in Pittsburgh, PA, in 1948 and was educated in parochial schools. Some of his fondest memories are those with his schoolmates. When duty called, Richard honored his country by enlisting in the Army Reserves and served for six years. He graduated in 1970 from the University of Dayton with a degree in Business Administration. Richard was gifted in sales and marketing and was an early pioneer in laser technology, innovation, and emerging GPS systems. One of Richard's great passions in life was travel; he visited over 30 countries. As soon as he arrived home from a trip, he was planning the next one. But no matter where he was in the world, Richard attended mass every weekend. He was a devoted Catholic who honored God by making it a priority to attend church. His laughter, sense of humor, and child-like zest for life will be remembered by all who knew him, along with his love for Italian food and adventure. One of Richard's greatest joys was gathering with friends and loved ones. He truly loved his family and friends, and his impact has left an indelible mark on those who knew him. The service will be held on Saturday, September 19th at 10am at Conejo Mountain Cemetery in Camarillo, CA.
