James Paul Grippo With heavy hearts, we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of James Paul Grippo on April 7th, 2025 at the age of 65. He was born on October 15th, 1959 in Pittsburgh, PA— a man who gave so much of himself to the people he loved. He was a devoted son, a loving and proud father, a cherished grandfather, a caring brother, and a constant support to anyone who needed him. Jim spent his life quietly but powerfully lifting others—whether it was his mother, his children, his siblings, or his grandchildren, he showed up in every way that mattered. He had a brilliant mind and a love for inventing, always dreaming, building, and creating. There was nothing he couldn't figure out, and nothing he wouldn't try to fix—especially if it meant helping someone he loved. If you ever mentioned a need, big or small, he would find a way to fill it—offering advice, surprising you with something you didn't even know you needed, or simply being there with his calming, steady presence. His grandchildren were the joy of his life. He adored them completely and made sure they felt it every single time they saw him. His generosity, humor, and warmth created memories that will last for generations. Though he was full of life and in such good health, he left us far too soon. The void he leaves behind is immense, but so is the love and legacy he gave to all of us. He is survived by his mother, Joann Sunseri; his children, Tara (Ty), Alex (Tobi), Lauren; his grandchildren, Francis, Cassius, Quincy, Giannina, Giovanni; his siblings, Janice (Lindell), Louis (Connie), Sofia (Rick); nieces and nephews, Limiel (Karene), Zuri, Sophia, Julia, Lilliana and Gianna - who will forever carry his spirit in their hearts. He is preceded in death by his sisters- Debra Grippo, Cynthia Robbins. A service to celebrate his life will be held on Saturday April 19th 2025 at D'ALESSANDRO FUNERAL & CREMATORY LTD., Butler at 46th Sts., Lawrenceville.
