Sharon Louise Shultzaberger

It is with the heaviest hearts that we announce the passing of Sharon Shultzaberger, May 11 2026, age 78. Born on November 4, 1947, in McKeesport, Pa .To call her a survivor would be an understatement. Growing up in the orphanage, she faced a hard start to life. She didn't let that break her spirit . She became a single mom at 18 and she embraced it . Sharon, also most known by Mall Mall, is survived by her loving children, daughters Dana Shultzaberger and Tina Cahill (Gene) and her son, Dino Shultzaberger (Lisa). She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: Destiny Stella, Lindsay Angelini (Jimmy), Brandon Cahill, Gene Cahill (Cara), Dean Shultzaberger (Katie), and Gabe Shultzaberger; as well as her beloved great-grandchildren Emma, Jackson, Vincent, Roman, Lilly, Neno, Ivy, Cat, and Navy who brought endless joy to her life. Sharon was predeceased by her mother, Florence Houser, her father, Robert Shultzaberger, and her siblings Dennis, Richard, and Donna Shultzaberger. Undeniably, one of Sharon's greatest accomplishments was surviving a single lung transplant for almost 24 years, showcasing her strong will and fighting spirit. In her golden days, she was a passionate organizer at the Sharpsburg Towers Presidents Committee, where she worked tirelessly for the community decorating for holidays and organizing events. Sharon had a diverse palette in food, her favorites being Spaghetti, Stuffed Cabbage, Homemade Fries, and Roasts. Her preferred beverages consisted of Pepsi, Root Beer, and Orange Soda. A connoisseur of oldies music, she loved listening to Lou Christie and delighted in watching Survivor, Chicago PD, Andy Griffith Show, and Days of Our Lives. Sharon's favorite movies were Grease and Ghost, and she loved engaging in games like Liverpool, 500, Skip-Bo, and Trouble. Sharon took pleasure in several recreational activities, whether being alongside her family, playing bingo, or cooking. She also cherished her time talking with her friends in the Sharspburg Towers and playing cards. Local spots she held dear included Kennywood and Eat 'n Park. Sharon had a particular affection for the color Purple. Above all, she treasured her family, always making time for them, and relished in her friendships and the sense of community she built around her. Her life was full of beautiful memories, love, and an indomitable spirit, which will continue to live on through her loved ones. A celebration of life is to be announced at a later date.
